In 2022, Kelly was searching for her next adventure, antsy to move on from her New York life. On a trip to Colorado to "scope it out" with her mom, she decided to change her Hinge profile to the Denver area to see who was out there. Why not!?

Jonathan was living at home in Englewood when he swiped right on Kelly on her last day in Colorado. After talking everyday for a week and facetiming only once, Jonny surprisingly told Kelly that he had booked tickets to fly out to New York. Kelly thought he was lying.

He showed up no less than 2 weeks after the coincidental dating app crossover, on the front steps of Kelly's Brooklyn apartment. That’s where their story began.
